I recently build a pc for my father with on-board gfx, he has no need for a decent gfx card.
Whole pc works fine with the exception of the on-board gfx.
When the pc i turned on nothing appears on the screen at all, it wont come out of stand-by.
But then if i press reset right after it works fine. If there's anyone who has any sugestion on why it could and how to sort it out please let me know.
The case is an antec and the mobo a EPoX EP-8KMM5i and a new 17inch monitor was bought with it.
    Hope someone knows

go to control panel windows first, add standard svga graphics card ,and set windows detect hardware ,say u have rage2 graphics add rage2 grahics driver from control panel add hardware graphics adapter rage 2 onbord not pci or agp, note. ,go 2 bios first enable onboard grahics in bios advanced settings usually page 2 bios save and exit,u may need windows disk to load driver, what grahics have u got.pc will work on svga driver anyway driver standard shud be on hd let windows find it or browse to directory where u havbe windows files drivers,,called cab files, or search *.cab ,compressed files u can view em with winrar zip program.checknbios 1st ENABLE ONBOARD GRAHICS.FIRST BE4 U DO ANYTHING.WHAT MOBO GRAHICS ARE U USING.

The drivers are installed and all.
Everything works but only once reset is pressed right after the power button.
I think it might be bios related or something?
Cheers for the reply not the less ill have a look in the bios later at home.
It uses on-board gfx, check link in first post for the mobo

Some BIOSs have an option for power on display or something like that, the choices are usually AGP and PCI, maybe you have and OnBoard option as well or something. Just a wild guess really but could be worth fiddling with.

I tried different setting in the bios but none worked.
Could it be a jumper thats not set right? i looked in the manual but its very basic, doesn't even mention the on-board gfx in detail.

go to bios check, enable ONBOARD GRAGPHICS VGA DISPLAYoutput .usually in secondpage bios or third advanced setings options,,then disable agp graphics oUtput/display,look at all pages of bios about 8 to 10, OR TRY 2ND ENABLE PCI graghics vga.DISABLE ALL AGP MODES IN bios, advanced options settings .turnon onbordvga pci.
