Please excuse my total ignorance, Xmas brought an mp3 player with line-in so I can encode audio in as mp3 file but I would very much appreciate recommendation on good software to convert CD audio and other analogue input to mp3.
Tried Realplayer but doesn't seem to recognise my mp3 device..
Also before anyone has a go at me I tried to search this forum but CD and mp3 were ignored in search as "too common"......

Its basically just a two-step process..

    1. Convert the cd tracks to mp3 (use cdex for this.. small download and quite easy to use)
    2. Copy the results mp3s onto your player (if its a typical usb player it should appear as an additional hard-drive in my computer.. then just copy&paste)

    Kali, Cheers.
Lots of useful info on cdex forum boards also.
    Thanks again.
