Wireless Printing

    Hey,

I'm loooking to get a new printer (probably an Epson Stylus Photo R300), the only problem being that I don't have the space near my computer.
So what I'm looking for (if they even exist...) is some kind of wireless connection between the printer and the computer, which would let me print remotely (it'd only be about 5m away), maybe something bluetooth based? I'm a total newbie when it comes to wireless (or any other kind of) networking, print servers, etc. It's only a one computer to one printer setup, so I don't need(/can't afford) anything too expensive...
    Any advice?

    Thanks in advance.

From reading up on the printer, it seems like the bluetooth is for transferring images from digital cameras directly to the printer - would it definetly work as a connection between the computer and the printer? Just want to be sure before I go blowing €150 + €40 on the printer and a bluetooth adapter...

You could always get a 5M USB cable?

PS: FYI if you are not going to be printing direct from digital cameras then don't bother with the R300, go for the R200, exact same specs, minus the direct camera printing display thingy, may save you a couple of quid. Alas, I didn't know this when I bought mine :(

Yeah, it looks like they're practically the same - but the R200 and the R300 are both the same price (roughly - R200 is €10 cheaper) in PC World - plus I do actually print direct from memory cards, which saves me buying a card reader.
BTW, how are you finding the R300 - good printer? All the reviews I've read have reccommended it, sounds like a decent buy for €150

Very happy with it, the clincher for me was the printing direct onto CD, I know there are a few models that do this now but, like yourself, I found the reviews pointed me to this one and it's working out a treat.
