An experiment!

I have an idea! It's kinda wierd, but bear with me, this is probably the only forum in the world that I wouldn't get flamed for this (no guarantee ).

So, what's this all about!? It's an experiment, to test A-If we have any psychic abilities, and B-If psychic abilities can have an effect across apparent boundaries like space between all of us now.


So here's the idea. I think of something while I type this (I am) and you guys try to guess it. May as well just post your ideas, please don't just copy each other! These words seem so dry, so here's how I'll go about it. I'll hold down the 8 key while focusing as hard as I can on this thing and I'll get a big block of numbers, and see if you can pick it up from it. Ok here goes

It was actually a simpsons (mis)quote, for some reason it was all I could think after pushing the idea of a can of coke on a boat out of my head.

Good idea btw, altough you should really get people to respond privatly, reading other peoples answers gives too many preconceptions for it to be a genuine test.

That's a good idea. Perhaps as well they should indicate they answered in the thread relating to the test as well, so we have an idea of how many and who did it?

The first thing I thought of was a big red bus - then after scrolling down and looking at the other posts - ppl have guessed car, boat, space shuttle etc (means of transport), red has come up ALOT - can of coke = red, fire = red, red animals etc. Well we are on some if not the same track!

Erm, I spent about 30 seconds looking at your block of 8s and let my mind wander... I settled on a ripe banana, but at the last second, changed to a reddish-brown (like a fox) coloured cat.

While I'd love to say that this could be taken as some form of positive result the inner skeptic inside me can readily come up with reasons why not:

1. The amount of people guessing, someone had to guess close to your original suggestion.

2. My mind hopped from "Banana" to "Cat", perhaps as some form of alphabetic progression - if I'd waited longer maybe I'd have thought of "Dog".

3. My username, being "dogs", is a closely related word to cat I imagine.

Just guesses though, and a bit of fun
