I got the recent aldi gericom laptop.

I was going to update the bios, but there seems to be three files. I know the third one is for the keyboard, but what are the first two? Anyone actualled done this already? Any problems?

    Thanks

dunno about the bios but the general rule is

"if there's no need for the update then don't"

bios updates can go terribly wrong and mess up your computer.

the old saying also applies "if it's not broke don't try and fix it"

I'm actually curious what these bios files are! Has anyone any ideas?

    EGO.BIOS.128MB.VRAM.IMG and EGO.BIOS64MB.VRAM.IMG

    Thanks

there should be at least instruction or guide how to update the bios, which files are needed, and how to recover from failed bios upgrade at manufacturer's website... otherwise, don't bother doing it - just check will it break terms set out by warranty covers in case sthing goes wrong when updating bios... :D
