    Hi there!

I need a reliable backup solution for my Laptop to store important files such as invoices etc.

Its a Dell x300 and I have a CDRW but tbh im fed up with cds and I would like something a bit more efficient and reliable.

Im currently looking at this for €117.50 to my door.

I have spent a lot of time on eBay and id love to have been able to take advantage of the dollor but very few US sellers ship outside the US so that was the best i could find (i think).

Anyway what do you think about this item?
In your opinion is it what im looking for and is it a good price?

    Any other suggestions?

80GB is fine, I dont need anymore than that.

Thanks a million for your input. :)

The price isnt that great considering you can get a 200gb external usb drive for €200 on komplett (which is what i did).

The seagate i got comes with handy backup software and the drive has a little button you can press to automatically perform the backup....

    Dave,

Thats great - just the info I was looking for!

They have a 160GB for €143 incl delivery which is basically double the size for an extra €26

Im sold on that unless someone comes up with something better..

It doesnt have firewire but I think USB 2.0 is good enough from what ive heard.

Or consider getting a 200gig internal hd and a case to make it external... total cost ......€145. That's what I'm doing.

    See this thread for info:
