remote access to PC

    Can anyone recommend a good prog for accessing my home PC from work?

    free and easy
    can be run as a website on your pc if you cant install the client at work

    XP Remote desktop works from home to work for me but never tried other way around. There is also browser based Remote Desktop, I think software is somewhere on Microsoft site. Some of the ports might be disabled from work to stop you from directly connecting outside. It can get complicated but worth a try ;)

    remote desktop is best for windows hosts - enable passthrough for port 3389 on your router if you have one (or configure firewall)
    but will probably be blocked by company firewall (depends on config of course)
    remotely anywhere is good - web browser with ssl support and java plugin in browser allows remote control and other stuff
    tight vnc on it's own is good enough, or over ssl tunel for security (you'd need a ssl server for windows though first - openssh via cygwin)

    many possibilities, depends on what ports are open in companies firewall and how much you can access the outside from work
