Aired last night in Canada, so people who have cousins with magical invisible video recorders and supersonic transatlantic postage should have it soon....

My package from me cousin should arrive in under 2 hours depending on how fast the plane is travelling :)

Current ETA is 5hr 17mins but my flight is really weird as the ETA is constantly fluctuating....

Package finally arrived by the time I got home from work!

Good overall episode following up on locations for the ZPM. Good to see the storyline with the genii is not dead and buried yet, nice bit of tension added to the story now with the incoming hive ships. Think the next episode will involve getting that ZPM back.

Just finished examining my package as well.

Agree with ya Lynchie. Pretty enjoyable, even if there was a very sort of Indiana Jones/Da Vinci code/National Treasure type vibe to the whole search. However, we're used to the Stargate franchise borrowing a few concepts and doing it in their own style :p

The Genii continue to be a pain and I like them. What I also liked was that I actually believed Sheppard WILL kill the next time - he's a lot tougher than O'Neill and, as it turns out, a lot smarter. Him being of Mensa level is no real surpirse - we've seen his mathematical prowess before - but it's a nice touch. Shame that Tey-Lo didn't get much to do. Oh well.

So there's a bit of setup here - assumedly for the 2-parter season finale - and I look forward to seeing where it takes us. Still pleased with this second half of the first season.

good epsiode leading up to nice seaSON final. enjoyed the episode why only send just 1 scout at high speed why not send 50 at high speed? theym could have won if they even sent 2 or 3

If the city was as it was at the time of the Ancients, then they'd lose fifty ships instead of one. It makes sense tactically.

I think it's in the pilot. There's some maths problem, multiplication I believe, and he instantly gives the answer to receive a brief funny look. This was a nice nod to that.

I think his strategic assault in "The Storm" showed how he's sharp with analytical skills and assessing situations.

    Ah, yes:

Sheppard: "When can you tell me where the Wraith took Colonel Sumner and the others?"
McKay: "Even with the six symbols Lieutenant Ford provided there are hundreds of permutations of-"
    Sheppard: "Seven-hundred-and-twenty"
McKay: "Yes. I knew that of course, I'm just surprised you do"

interesting episode, I assume this will lead to Prometheus arriving at Atlantis before/during the attack and they will have to have found at LEAST one ZPM before the attack happens else they have no chance.

i have to disagree we have heard countless times that the wraiths main advantage was numbers 50 ships is probbley nothing to them i wouldent be supised if every hive ship carried a min gerrison of 500 Wraith Darts

Why waste 50 ships when you can get away with losing one?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,905 ✭✭✭User45701

but u sdont understand those 50 ships would have won and if they didnt then the warith would have only lost 50 ships thats all which is nothingness to them

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 2,525 ✭✭✭JustHalf

But they had no way of knowing that 50 ships would win, hence a scout to determine what force they would need.

    I'll repeat:

If the city was as it was at the time of the Ancients, then they'd lose fifty ships instead of one, so why waste 50 ships when you can get away with losing one?

once again i repeat what does it matter it has been said countless times the warith have VAST numbers thats how they beat the anchients. the anchient tech and ships where better than the Wraith but the wraith had numbers.

A hive ship could cary 100s or 1000s of darts the loss of 50 wraith and 50 darts is nothing to them losing 50 wraith is like killing 50 ants in a coleny. The wraith should have sent 50 ships

Yes, but if you look at it logically, the Wraith must have assumed that they would lose any darts they sent to Atlantis. If they only required one dart to send back the information, what would the point be in sending 50? True, after the fact they would know that 50 would have overrun the city, but they had no way to know that beforehand. If their only objective was information, why send 50 ships to do a job one can do alone?

Secondly, their ultimate objective is to feed on the Atlantis team, and gain access to Earth. There would be no point in attacking and destroying the city with 50 darts when the hive ships with all the hungry Wraiths still weeks away.

I just saw it last night , really good episode . The Zpm's and there lack of one seems to be a re-occuring theme but surely they will have one for the invasion .

This season , i have enjoyed Atlantis way more then Sg1 . The last episode of Sg1 when jack came back to the field was great , but up until then Atlantis kicks ass .
