IS7-E2 - USB spec/speed question

    I have an ABIT IS7-E2: http://www.komplett.ie/k/ki.asp?sku=123081&view=detailed

According to the spec I should have 2xUSB 2.0 headers on the boards and 4xUSB2.0 ports on the back panel.... now all of these are there but on boot-up the summary says I have 4xUSB 1.1 and 2xUSB 2.0... XP tells me the same.

I have the latest Intel Chipset INFs, XP w/SP1 and I believe all of my other drivers are up-to-date.

Any ideas why this is happening....?

i've got that board, i can check when i get home. regardless of what it says on boot have you tried a USB 2.0 device on all of the ports? They might all be 2.0. Try a USB 2.0 memory stick and see what the transfer rate is. Failing that any 2.0 device should give a message on windows if you plug it into a 1.1 port.

There's a guy there called billyd who really knows his stuff. Was a big help to me with an intractable USB problem. Word of warning: he seems a little tempermental so dont piss him off

My G/Fs IPOD won't work on anything but 2 of the back panel ports (requires USB 2.0).

Will try http://www.everythingusb.com and play with google some more....

    Cheers anyways!
