mmm I`m thinking of travelling to canada and working there for the summer . The visas are out soon and I was thinking of getting one . They cost around 400 bucks a pop .I was thinking of just not bothering with the visa and just going over and getting an under the table job . I was wondering if anyone has done this before and knows if its easy to get by sans visa in canada . I dont want to end up in the clink thougfh like those Irish chaps over the christmas who were working in the states . any advice is much appreciated !

We got seriously interrogated upon arrival. Twice. I know of people who've had worse and debated just leaving before they got into the country properly.

I wouldn't screw up a great summer by being cheap. That's my 2c.
