    Hi guys

I've touched on this before ...but please try and explain to me again why the following is ????
Set up id Lidl system with 3 LNBs pointing at 28.2 / 19.2 / 13.

I'm receiving stations through the 13 degree LNB that the original Preprogrammed software in receiver says are from asiasat 3s (105.5 E) asiasat 2 (100.5 E and hispasat (30 W). I typed the transponder details in google and it conforms with receiver software (see Word file). I.ve gone over this a doz times and can't figure it out......Sat at 30 W through LNB pointing at 13 E That has to be physically impossible
    Any ideas ??

As I have said before you have to reset the receiver and start again.

If you tell your receiver that you are pointing at astra 1 and you are in actuel fact pointing at hispasat the scanned channels will show up in the receiver as astra channels but are in fact from hispa

Tell us the channel name ,transponder details and PIDs etc.

That sounds simply a coincidence, that you have found a channel which is broadcasting with the same frequency, symbol rate, FEC, etc. as one on another satellite. even with a multi LNB/motorised arrangement the receiver will only be taking input from one satellite at a time so if there are channels with the same characteristics on different sats it wouldn't cause any problems.
Just as a further point it is highly unlikely that somebody would be capable of receiving transmissions form both those satellites anyway as Hotbird is a Europe/Middle East/African sat and the Asiasats as the name (and longitude) suggest are aimed at The Far East. 60 degrees either way is normally the approximate limit so I suppose there is a remote possibility that someone with an absolutely huge dish in Kazakhstan or somewhere like that could pick up a bit form both. :)

    Hi guys

Had a little mishap caused by high winds, but it's back on the pole and ok although without the help of my little assistant not re aligned exactly as before. Judgeing by Quality signal I'm slightly off, but it shouldn't matter for this test. I've attached a word doc.
After re-reading all the previous posts I thought I had it figured out. I thought that the receiver had a transponder freq put in under the wrong sat name, hence although listed under say for example AMOS , that freq belonged to say for example HOTBIRD and so ;ong as both sats were in the active sat list, I would receive the station ok,but listed under the wrong sat list.
What throws me of now is the Google info
Seano If as you suggest I wipe the database and re-input all transponder info....thats a lot of data input. I don't think the receiver will do it automatically (blindsearch ?). Receiver is Lidl comag 55 ???

    thanks again lads

PS I've just mounted a second dish as I have a spare slot on diseq switch (is 4 way the biggest outdoor you can get ?), so I'll be looking to see what I can get.....This sat hunting business can be quite addictive

    regards
