They made it hard for themselves in the end....was surprised as anybody when first goal went in and I thought Riise was gonna miss.
Had a feeling Norwich would score...anytime I see Dudek with a cap on in direct sunlight I get flashbacks to Anfield when Sally Gunnell put 2 past him.
SG looked a shadow of himself.
In fairness to Diao, I thought he was one of the better players and Finnan was excellent. If only Josemi was any good, I'd prefer Finnan at RM that Nunez....Real Madrid must have been laughing their socks off when they got rid of him.

Wasn't a great game at all but i thought Liverpool deserved the win. Norwich didn't really have much threat until towards the end (when Liverpool got a bit nervous) but it was a great goal from Jarvis, the defense was poor though. Norwich did have a legitimate penatly claim for Carragher's handball too I thought. Great finish from Garcia, he was doing me head in again but seemed to play better after he scored. Overall I thought both teams looked tired.
Anyway, I'll gladly take the three points after the last game :)

9 from 12 over Xmas - which is the least they were going for in fairness. Doesn't compensate for The Riley Show.

I wish now a Norwich player will come out and say to Carragher what he said today about refs aiding with Utd Chels Arse.

you've got to be kidding you simpleton tiago handeled from a 30/40 yard floated cross, carragher from a 1/2 yard drill across the goal. anyway shut up :D

    fairish result in the end..

I doubt Norwich supporters would agree with you, Taking into consideration the comments about Mike Reilly after the Chelsea game what did you think of todays official. ;)

I love watching Huckerby play, he's so dangerous drifting in from the left. maybe a case for Engerland picking him as a left side midfielder.

Just one small point about the thread title . . .

. . shouldn't it be Norwich v Liverpool, it was at Carrow Road wasn't it ??

I think all the poor refing decisions will see TV replays and sideline communications with refs within the nest 2 - 3 seasons, it's big business now and I think the clubs will push for it first.

Well done to Pool by the way, with the way Gerard is playing currently I hope you can hang on to him though. He was simply awsome today for the first half hour that I saw and in recent matches he's been playing like a man posessed.

Its good to get some luck for a change. However, the penalty appeals in this match were less blatant than the Pool and Chelsea match. However, they were penalties..

Yeah, there was no Makelele-esque trying to shag a player in the box while also simultaneously trying to molest his man breasts defensive tactics (in front of the Kop as well for God's sake ;) )...Nor was there any Tiago (midfielder/backup 'keeper) style volley ball clearances. But there was one penalty shout, although the ball came to Carragher quite quick and it was in no way as clear cut :)

You can tell how much of a threat Huckerby is when Finnan calls for help the whole time he had the ball and ran at him. Finnan should've been sent off, 1st yellow should've been awarded in the first half when he blatantly took Hucks out when he made a show of him and then the second for which he eventually got booked for. Liverpool fans were quiet, referee poor and overall we were robbed.

There is no way i'd agree with that. Funny how Carragher never admitted to handballing twice,

I meant to quote the other one about being a fair result in the end

Carragher's handball was not deliberate. Can't even compare it to Tiago's.

Overall a bit dissapointing but the result is what matters. I'm fairly confident we'll get fourth at least but it's looking as though my pre season bets on us finishing ahead of United aren't going to be making me the cash i'd previously thought.
