So much for a few pints relaxing ye'
And what's the story with the loudness of live bands in pubs... do they have deaf people set up the amps or what?
A bit of permanent hearing loss is all well and good if you're going to see your faverite band in a decent sized venue... but in a pub with a crappy nobody band, it's just not worth it... having to scream over Paddy and the Paddysons bog-side ramblers till my throat bleeds is a real conversation killer.

the reason for this is probably down to the fact that its very hard to muffle down drums!Especially if your a rock band! And yes i know there are brushes instead of drumsticks but they dont work if your playing a heavyish song!

turning up the other inrtuments does the trick but then again everything is very loud then after that!

SO buy a drum machine, it's better, quieter, and drinks a lot less

This is a very un-silly thread
