Well we know that Croke Park on the 25th and 26th of June has already been penciled in for a while so it is probably true and in reality those dates are the only ones what really matters to us.

When the hell are they going to announce when tickets go on sale. I need to go after that incredible night at Slane four years ago. I hear that tickets were already been sold on ebay by touts at obscene prices about three months ago but no one even has there hands on any tickets yet!!

Its going to be nasty when people try to get their hands on these U2 tickets I tell ya.

Playing Ireland in Late June isnt a wise decision by U2.
It means it wont get dark until well after 11pm meaning the whole concert will be in daylight making most of the lighting effects redundant.
For the Elevation tour I picked up tickets early as a member of U2.com but I now see it costs $40 to be registered as a member ,which is a disgrace .
I also thought U2 would play Cork seeing as it is The European City of Culture for 2005 and they would easily sell 50,000 tickets in Pairc Ui Chaoimh.
I saw then 5 times in 2001 and I felt the length of the shows was too short.
I hope for this tour they play for at least 2 and a quarter hours like Zoo TV and Pop .
However looking at the preliminary tour schedule and Bono's voice problems they will play short gigs.
I feel they are becoming too greedy now and just going through the motions.
    Hopefully I am wrong.

there's notices up around croke park looking for permission to hold 3 concerts on the 24th 25th and 26th of june so i presume U2 are actually playing 3 nights?

Well it could well be risky If you go online because there will be so many people online at the same time when they go on sale you may not be able to get any tickets.

If you go the old skool mode and queue up for tickets, wear alot of armour, a bullet proof vest, a crash helmet and be prepared to be very violent  because things will get very nasty!!!!!

Tried that before with U2, stood in the queue for hours and redialing on the phone as often as I could - all for nought.

I'd imagine with the website you'll have advance access to tickets (that happened on that previous occasion anyway) so by the time the shops open there's already less tickets available.

I'm sure it will have no effect whatsoever for the Irish Dates, but just in case someone was thinking of seeing them earlier, U2 have postponed the World Tour.
