Just a quick query. I bought an Acer Aspire from Elara in April and about 10 days ago or so the backlight on the screen packed in.

Now its still under acer warrenty and they say they'll courier it back to repair it and then back to me again, but I'm just wondering is this the best option or should I take it back to Elara?

Also, is this a common thing to happen? Is it expensive to fix and is it likely to happen again in anouther 8 months?

I was thinking of taking the extended warrenty with Acer, is it too late to apply so long after purchase?

    Thanks

    Syke

no courier it off to them, let them do it all, if anything happens to it, they will spot you for it! you got nothing to loose by doing it!
