I reinstalled FC3 last night after replacing a hard drive. Soo, patching goes perfectly. Installing the Nvidia driver goes perfectly. Setting up NTFS read goes perfectly. Configuring my sound goes perfectly. Installing Cedega goes perfectly. I play WoW for 11 hours with it, without a hitch. Hell, even Fluxbox worked without a hitch.

Too many things have gone right. Should I start bracing myself for the end of the world? :p

Do you need anything "special" to run WoW on FC3 ?
Ive very much a linux newbie (been trying out diff. distros on VMware) one of the ones I installed recently is FC3 which is very smooth all right. Is that your main OS now for everything or do you dual boot ? also how is the whole linux thing going for you ? (been reading alot here)

    now for something different
just going to completly hijack this thread for a second if Fenster doesnt mind but nadir who is "Dimebag Darrell" ? I keep seeing his name in windows around Dublin ? is he a local ? Just wondering no disrespect intended.

    Thanks
    A

    Cedega

Its a version of Wine meant for gaming. The most recent version supports World of Warcraft and for all that there's some niggling issues, I was pretty impressed with how smooth the game ran-I'm working on an OpenGL problem right now, but so far I think it actually runs better than under Windows. At any rate, its hogging much less memory (WoW+Firefox in XP usuaully bogged down my whole system).

And yeah, I'm moved to Linux as my main. My biggest problem before was that I couldn't play the games I usually play (AO+WoW), but I can, so hey, I've no reason to use XP at this point in time. :D
