Londis using a song by Karen Carpenter who died of Anorexia, in their new Ad campaign
Wonder if they thought about it?

    hardly the definition of parody.

Howsoever Karen Carpenter died doesn't mean any of her songs are automatically linked to Anorexia.

Nah, real irony is when US forces used Apache helicopters to combat ethnic cleansing in the Balkans.

If Alanis found out the next day that a spoon would have done the job - that would have been ironic.

Actually Karen Carpenter recovered from her bout with anorexia and died of heart failure several years later. (Probably brought on by the anorexia mind you.)

Is this not just a joke stolen from Con Air?

Garland Greene: Define irony: a bunch of idiots dancing around on a plane to a song made famous by a band that died in a plane crash.

    Wasn't particularily funny then either.

NOTHING in that is ironic, looks like the Canadians are just like the Yanks, they just don't get it. :)

its ironic that a song about irony doesnt have any real references to irony
