There was a large thread about this before but has drifted down the pages very quickly. I ordered 200 and got them after about 2 weeks. No problems at all.

I ordered 200 in November and received them all about 3 weeks later (in 5 parcels of 40 cigs). I think its advised not to opt for the quick delivery option.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,639 ✭✭✭Blackjack

I did a few years ago. They never came and all I got was a letter from Customs telling me if I wanted to take delivery I would have to pay something Daft to get them. Needless to say I didn't bother.

Was it the same site? This site only posts in batches of 40. If they posted all 200, they'd be surely siezed by customs. :(

When mine came a few weeks ago they were in a package of 200.

All tobacco (and alcohol products, including perfumes) regardless of quantity is subject to customs.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,639 ✭✭✭Blackjack

Yeah, it was the same site alright. I know of some people who got theirs just before I got my letter so I reckon I may have been just a little unfortunate.

I just tried to look at this site and i just got 403 forbidden You don't have permission to access / on this server. WTF is that all about.

Hmm, they've changed the shipping arrangements. It was 5 parcels of 40 cigs, now they seem to just send the whole 200. That'd be a bit more risky I reckon :(

i have ordered form this site three times, one week after another, i received my order's for the first and third weeks, but nothing for the second. i have been in contact with them to see what the story is. their reply told me, my credit card was not charged for the undelivered ciggarettes for the second week.
    but it was.
so i've sent off an e-mail , just waiting for their reply. i will keep posted as to how i get on.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 188 ✭✭Chopper

I have had 2 deliveries of 200 so far. One just before Christmas and one just after. Only issue was that postie won't squash the large envelope through the letterbox so I did have to collect one of the packages from the sorting office.

If you order be sure to select standard postage only.

You ordered 800 smokes in one order?

That was risky. I preferred it when they sent the cigs in batches of 40.

    Right...

I did by Cigg's online, and for the first couple of times they turned up fine... 200 cig's for 30euro can't go wrong, that's until the bloody Irish government decided they wanted a cut. So Customs sent a guy to me with the parcel and wanted an EXTRA 60euro ontop of what i'd already paid for my smokes... that would make it 90euro for 200 smokes... i can get them cheaper in my local shop... so I just said RETURN TO SENDER and that i wasn't paying the extra money....

    so they did...
the moral of the story here is... the irish government are money grabbin bas(*%ds!!!!

Yes how dare those evil goverment ppl put taxes on your cigurettes, its not as if you expect the goverment to foot the bill when you need treatment for all the ailments the fags will give you. Yup the goverment are money grabbing b*st*rds, just wonder will you be saying that if you ever need treatment or social welfare.

Chest infection/bronchitis: €40 for a 2 minute visit to a GP & €60 for antibiotics... box of nicotine patches for the week €25.
    Total government assistance = €0.00
It'd be cool if ciggy taxes actually payed for these things.
I'd be interested to see the figures at play here... income from tobacco tax versus direct costs of smoking related illness.
Actually, I saw on the news a few months ago- some minister or other complaining that the tax take from tobacco dropped due to people quitting (or the smoking ban in pubs) and they may need to increase the tax... so there are less people smoking, their chances of disease lessening, yet they still need the same amount of money... it's a blatant cash-cow.

Non-smokers get treatment and social welfare too.

Ok fair enough, but serious disease like cancer cost a lot of money to treat. And if you dont like the cost of fags you can also stop smoking or never start in the first place. Im going to stop now because this thread is for people looking for there cheap fix, not to get bashed by me for there habit :)

I don't buy this... yeah smoking kills, so does over eating and fat people aren't subject to the same accusations of costing the health service money because of their eating habits. Binge drinking costs the state huge amounts in a&e and garda resources , not to mention the cost to business - I don't see drink prices increasing the same way cigarettes do.

I lost a batch as well. Recieved this email in response to a mail I sent them quering the order.

    << Dear Customer,

Unfortunately other planes with cigarettes from our online shop have been
stopped at JFK: it seems that security measures in the US allow people to
inspect and check incoming packages without having to inform anyone about
it, not even about the lenght of the inspection.
For this reason, if this will continue to go on, Yesmoke will shorlty start
to sell its packages in an alternative way.
During the last few weeks, we shipping to the United States, taking into
consideration that what was described as a routine check up, could have
caused delays: as recent as last Monday we were informed that everything was
going back to normal, however...this was not to be the case, and we were not
formally informed about the actual situation by anyone nothwithstanding our
formal enquiries with both USPS and US customs.
We have infact learned today through our customers that cigarettes were held
up again last Monday at JFK, and much as we are thankful for the info, we
are sorry to have to inform you that this will cause further delays.
All the orders that were stopped at JFK, regardless of the brand will be
refunded by Yesmoke. Shopping at yesmoke.ch means to save money not loose
it: you stand to have your order fully reimbursed or replaced as per our
100% satisfaction guarantee, besides your option to have your order fully
reimbursed by your credit card company up to 6 months from the date of the
    charge.

Regardless of the outcome of the situation your satisfaction is our
priority. We ask you to please be patient with us as we will inform you
about the developments right away as we have always have tried to do.

At the moment we would like to be able to provide our customers with a more
effective and satisfactory answer, however, due to the recent developments
and the lack of information we have (it seems that no one cares to let
yesmoke know what is actually going on....) we can only ask you to trust us.
We have no interest in letting ANYONE down no matter what the outcome may be
    for us.
Further expalanations about this situation and its various legal aspects
will be on our site by Wednesday December 14.
Please trust us, we have always tried to do the best we could for our
clients and we have no intention to change that policy!!!

    Best Regards

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 467 ✭✭andyeire

Alleepaly did you pay by credit card my card is still declined .I think maybe there merchant accounts have been stopped because of complaints to card companys .I googled them and found lots of complaints from american customers .I recieved everthing i ordered my last lot came about a 2 weeks ago.I did email them but i recieved the same email as ding above which had no relation to the mail i sent . I have ordered cigs from www.europecigarettes.com but that was a few days ago and they have not taken payment from my card as of today. They are more expensive but still cheaper than shops.

Flight to Germany: Around 100 yoyos (depends how lucky you are :D )
Taxi fares to Airport and back : Around 30 yoyo (cheaper if you drive and park your car for the day)
Carton of Cigs :30-35 yoyos 10 cartons €300-350(€620 here) yoyos 20 cartons(€1240 here) €600-700 depends how brave you are :D

Two fingers to government : PRICELESS :D

This is perfectly legal, these are German street prices so you are paying your tax. Keep your receipts and challange the customs officers if they stop you (more likely they wont :D ) .

P.S. Smoking seriously harms you and others around you :)

And the government claiming smoking has gone down 30% compared to last year - hahaha, fools :)

They sent me the same thing this week. Found out customs nabbed em. Ordered 600 but 200 disappeared from the package customs swiped. They wanted €118 for 400. Told em where to park it.
