Keyboard trouble

    Some of the number keys on my sister's laptop aren't working (it's a dell).
    There is a keyboard port on it and I wonder if it is possible to buy a minuture keyboard or even a keyboard with just the numbers on it.
    I have a spare keyboard I can give her but it's not possible to take it with her along with the laptop.
    Failing that I suppose she could send it back to Dell to be repaired.
    The warranty is up though so it would cost a bit.

    this is where you should post about it not tweaking/modding.

    on topic you can buy little keypads for laptops plug into usb i think and it gives the number pad much like the ones on a pc.

    That's a pretty nice solution considering that it's a Dell you're hooking it up to; the extra USB ports will come in handy...
