Anyone Get Fireworks Tickets?

Cork City of Culture celebrations are to launch next Saturday and the organisers have been defending claims that the organisation of the year has been poor.
Their main response has been of the 'Wait until you see it before you knock it' variety. You would therefore expect that they would at least get the launch right by bringing the locals onside. Some chance of that!
Next Saturday it all starts and part of the day involves a fireworks display which the organisers claim will be the biggest ever in Ireland. Such a big event that they decided to control crowds by restricting access to the quays to 20,000 people and the free tickets were to be distributed from 12 noon today through Supervalu & Centra Stores.

True to form they seem to have started off the year by really annoying the people of Cork with the level of ineptness shown in the distribution of the tickets for the firework display. Is it any wonder that there is criticism of
Cork 2005 even before it starts.
I personally called to 4 different Centra Stores before 12:15 today (1st
January) and not one had any tickets left and I didn't see any people
with tickets -just annoyed ticket seekers.
Can only conclude that vast majority of tickets have been hijacked by
corporate sponsors and/or employees of Musgrave Group as they
    definitely never became generally available.
In the course of my search I also met others and reckon that I knew by
12:10 of at least 10 Centra/Supervalu shops that had no tickets.

Am interested if other people got tickets. If so, at what time & where?

I got four tickets at Super-Valu Milstreet 5 mins. before closing yesterday evening. Most of the Super-Valu stores gave them away yesterday or the day before because they are closed today.
Very clever to make the tickets available in supermarkets that are not even going to be open on the day of sale!
Sorry for anyone who didn't get them ('specially those with kids that would have been really looking forward to it).
It's just bad organisation and doesn't bode well for this Capital Of Culture thingy.
