itv1 WALES

    Hi

    itv1 WALES has just got rid of its Ancillary teletext service on page 600-99. The status bar (when you turn the channel on has gone to itv1 WALES instead of HTV WALES).

    Now I'm not really concerned about the name change... but I did think that the teletext service was a good resource. On p600 it now advises you to call or visit a website about information on programmes. I was up in the Midlands (UK) yesterday and Central's service continues. Does UTV's service continue??

    I've just checked and it still has pages for Northern Ireland news, sport, weather and roads.

    It could be part of ITV's cost cutting though - if ITV1 Wales local content wasn't getting used, it probably got cut out.
