Anyone who refers to Slash & co as 'useless ****' is highly misguided!

Shadowfax, calm yourself, no need for that.

I'll keep my eye on this thread, so tread lightly.

Slash was OK in his day, but coming back with Slash's Snakepit and Velvet Revolver is a piss take.

He's finished and so are all the other druged up muppetts that came from GnR.

Double talkin jive, get a life you muppett, Slash is a ****ing poser, nothing more, nothing less. Who would I rate as I great guitarist

    Chuck Shuldiner (Death)
    Dave Mustaine (Megadeth)
    Trey Azagthoth (Morbid Angel)
    Dimebag (RIP)
    Kerry King, Jeff Hanneman (Slayer)

I could go on for hours, all would make slash eat ****. He's a fukin bitch and not wortha ****

Slash is at the bottom of the food chain, with his fukin ponsy riffs !!

Some people here need to chill, this thread isnt about whether slash is a poser or not, it's simply asking who's going to Velvet Revolver.

    no need for the freak-outs.

Are you just trying to piss off everyone? Nobody asked you what you thought of Slash, this thread asked a very simple question: Who's going to Velvet Revolver? A simple no would've sufficed.

So cop the **** on or you'll get the boot, understand?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,306 ✭✭✭NeMiSiS

    Manners is a fine thing.
What I will say about Slash, he is a finer guitar player than me, he has ****ed more women than me,he earns more money than me, and he does what he loves for a living as in play guitar for a living, so I can never fault him.
That's my hero man, as childish as it sound's I aspire to be no one but myself but that man sets a fine example.

Rock on.. or at the very best Rock on with a bit less hostility

    Tom

It says the Datsuns are supporting on MCD. I saw them in the music centre and they put on a good show. I might go to see them but I'm not too keen on seeing Velvet Revolver.

Ah. Izzy. Now there's someone I miss dearly.

Back on subject. Yeah I'm going! Can't wait. I've somehow got to make it back in Wales afterwards to see them in Cardiff and then London. And then back in Ireland for Megadeth!

I'm almost hoping Nightwish dont play in Ireland shortly afterwards otherwise I'll have to spend even more money!

I wanna go!!!! damn the whole "being broke" thing I've got going for me.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 1,975 ✭✭✭Oeneus

Well if you change your mind at the last minute I have a spare ticket to sell.

What are the rules on Crowd-Surfing at the Point?
I went to a gig at Vicar Street last year and when I got pulled over the barrier after crowd-surfing the Security tried to kick my ass!

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 2,089 ✭✭✭D!ve^Bomb!

crowd surfing/moshing are for muppets tbh

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,382 ✭✭✭Motley Crue

To answer the original posters question: Yeah im going to Velvet Revolver i wouldnt miss it for the world. Duff McKagan in the flesh. Gig of the year, even though itll only be 12 days old.

On a side note does anyone not find it annoying how other people start up conversations in their treads?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,382 ✭✭✭Motley Crue

To the guy who asked about security in the Point, they are worse then Vicar Street. THEY WILL leave a mark.

To the guy who's going to Megadeth, did you hear Diamond Head are supporting them? Oh and whats this bout Nightwish.

And finally to the guy who asked bout the Datsuns, yeah thats the support.

Anymore comments tune to DSFM 104.9 on Sunday Nights at 7.30pm

How bad are they? Do they kick you out or just rough you up and send you back in again?

Yeah, I did hear Diamond head are supporting.

And the Nightwish thing is someone recently spread a rumour here that they were playing Ireland in February, but there's nothing official confirming this.
    n a side note does anyone not find it annoying how other people start up conversations in their treads?[/quote}

I just thought opening another VR related thread might be a slight pain in the arse, no?

NOT even a Ben Elton musical could pack as many clichés into 90 minutes as Velvet Revolver managed on the opening night of their current UK tour!!!
