Thank ****! Isreal is withdrawing from the Gaza strip after American critism (only people they listen to) of their escalation of tension in the region. Mind you Sharon has still given the go ahead to expand settlements in the westbank.

Was'ent a governemtn of "national unity" meant to calm things down?

Sharon is much too dangerous. The Bush/Sharon combination still makes for grim times ahead. Many Israeli army reservists are refusing to serve in the west bank. This is because the tiny number of people who are causing all the hassle(ultra orthodox jew settlers) are exempt from military service!!
Good one eh? Only in the Mid East...

I'd suggest you all read this: its a view of how the conflict is reported

I'm in agreement with him.The majority of press is so biased towards Israelis(or at least very very unsympathetic to Palestinians) its sickening.

i hope the arab nations rise up a kick them into shape. they need to be given a lesson for there bullyboy tactics. i mean ffs blowing up raidar towers to show a country what could happen if the mess with them.only israel could get away with this, the rest of the world( except the us ,becouse there not going to do it)sould punish israel for these tactics.

well, don't forget, Colin Powell condemned yesterday's "disproportionate" attacks on the Gaza strip and Lebanon. Mind you, I'm not so sure it's about proportionate retaliation measures and more about Israel remaining within the favour of the sympathetic organs of communication. Still, I was shocked when i heard it.
