So yeah, with a new job, christmas and birthday all working towards me at the moment I have decided to consider purchasing a new amp. I want it to be as tube-filled as possible, and a great clean tone is a must. I'm open to all brands and secondhand.

Just wondering what options I have, living in a country as gear-limited as Ireland :D .

What sort of music do you play, what's your budget and why do you want it tube filled?

Fitz is selling a Fender tube amp, check the FS Musical Instruments Forum

you can't beat a fender for a good clean tone. check some of the laney tube amps out. the lc15r is only 300 new in adlib carlow.

Fender Blues Junior would be probably be perfect alright. Don't be fooled by the size or wattage, it's a good loud amp with plenty of headroom.

It doesn't matter what style I play, I just want a good amp.
Budget is around 500-1000 euro, and that is very flexible.
I prefer tube amps to SS.

Well, it matters quite a lot. If you play music that needs a lot of high gain, you won't be looking at a Fender, now will you?

    Don't worry about the gain.

Well, I like clean tones a lot but I also need a fair lump of gain. Anyway, you seem to have been sorted.

I've got a lovely Fender Twin Reverb for sale. P.M. for details.

Steer clear of Marshall amps in that price range. Their valve amps included.

Explain. I'm using a Marshall DSL201 combo as a practice amp, which as far as I know is the cheapest (20w) tube amp they make at the moment, and it's the greatest, loudest little 20 watt amp I've ever used. And it sounds wonderful! I use a TSL halfstack as my main rig and I don't think I'll ever need another one for the rest of my life. Atleast until I get rich and buy myself a Diezel VH4! :D

They dont currently produce this amp. Most of those budget marshalls are ok but not worth the current prices in my opinion.
