as in dreadlocks in your hair?

    I'd suggest the fashion/appearance forum

Wrong forum notwithstanding, there's a place in the Georges St arcade that does 'em. I saw some posters a few months ago

If you want real dreads just grow your hair and never *ever* wash it, dude who works with my brother has dreads past his arse done this way, looks class, albiet rather unhygienic, but class :)

(ps: said person is indeed white, skin colour should have migh on nothing to do with how hair suits people)

But i also know a bloke that just didnt brush his hair and
now it looks like he has a birds nest on his head or sumtin.

I didn't think i would get the right kind of people to tell me in
Fashion/appearence section. if ya catch my drift.

    Thanks .
    Keep the ideas cumin.

    *Boggle*

How could you get the idea that this is the place to ask? This boards is specifically about music.

Cause alot of people that listen to rock/metal have dreads!
and i wasn't expectin to get any decent replies in fashion/appearence.

    anyway my mistake. Sorry.

Yeh, George's street arcade, I heard about a place there. I think go for it! I've seen them a couple times and I think they look deadly. You need a goatie to go with it tho. Kinda balance things out a bit. It does help if you have a tan, but sure fook it, you could always just cut it off and start again if you don't like it. Also, if you get one of them think hairbands you see some snobby girls wearing to push it backwards get one. I seen a guy with dreads and he did that, looks real cool and alot cleaner too cause it's not all over the place.

    My 2 cents..

Are dreads not more of a Reggae/funk thing? most people Ive seen them with have been well into their funk music. :)

I dunno, dreads can look good on white people, depends on the hair colour.

No you're wrong, many ( any ) scumbag girls ( as pointed out above^^ ) look like CRAP when they have dreads. Mind you they look like crap anyway.

Hey! How do hairbands make you snobby? They keep your hair back i.e. so you can use your eyes. Besides Paul Hunter wears them.

my mate used to have them i used to brade them in for him just when washing your self dont use shampoo or conditioner on your hair let it grow about cheek bone lenth would be fine to start.. get a crowshea(cant spell the dam word) needle and just pull the hair under and over its self till its thick enough and matted enough.. they are alot of work and you will smell like a dog for the first 6 months your body then starts to cleans your hair naturally and it doesnt smell that bad...
