For all of you who don't know, you can call your American Friends (mobile OR landline - whichever!) and also well, the rest of the world too really! for a meagre 30 cent per minute today (New Year's Eve) and tomorrow (New Year's Day). However, this is restricted to the network of the blue-ishness (ie: o2!) Happy new year to you all! (P.s. it's an all day thing for the 2 days - none of this on peak/off peak nonsense!)
    Enjoy,
    your faithful Plunkmeister

Alternatively, Holligan has just unearthed a gem!
Apparently if ya ring 0818 242526 international calls to anywhere will cost 4.9c/min off peak or 8.17c/min peak times.

Here it is here, and a happy new year to one and all

    *Senses a catch somewhere*

Does it cost the person you're calling to receive the call?

  • no doesn't cost them a penny, only problem is you have to top it up by ringing a€1.50 a min number, but you start with €1 credit so thats 20 mins!

Alternatively, just hijack your home phone, then when the bill comes, deny, deny, deny

Or get some friends that live in the same country as you.

No no no. Get friends you can communicate telepathically with, so you don't even have to ring them.
