    Hi all.

My friend wants to buy a PC just for making music. He has €1,000 budget. Buying online is out of the question. He is a beginner using computers and music software but I shall teach him the way of the mantis. :p

He needs a monitor, keyboard and mouse also, just in case ye are wondering.
PC World simply dont have a clue. As much as I dislike the idea of spending more than a tenner in the place I advised him to inquire anyway. He explained the above to them and they just said, yeah, em, this will do everything. Yeah, sure, onboard soundcard will do the trick alright.

My friend has a shedload of DJ equipment best o' the best, in his bedroom so connecting the PC to a channel in the mixer is essential. Also, taking samples from records would help. :D

A friend bought an all singin' and dancin' shuttle which was built for the job for 2 grand from his college but thats too expensive.

Can someone show him the path to enlightenment.
