It seems like Bush just can't do anything sensible or moral. It's un-noncorruptable!

Himself and Colin Powell have been accused of covering up the history of an ex-US Ambassador to Honduras, John Negroponte. This article from the Guardian explains how Negroponte was connected with central America based CIA agents who trained members of an outfit called Batallion 3-16 which specialised in making suspected communists go missing.
The CIA helped to train an organisation called Battalion 3-16, which carried out the torture and "disappearing" of 184 people in Honduras deemed to be politically suspect or communist sympathisers. Until recently, some members of the battalion had been living in the US, but were deported just as Mr Bush's selection of Mr Negroponte was announced.

Negroponte has been nominated for the position of US ambassador to the United Nations.

It's just another one of those discoveries that shows Bush and his cronies to be ass corrupt as his daddy's regime.

Anyway, the article is here.

Not surprising.
Ah yes.The right wing "Freedom fighters" so beloved of Reagan.Their particular route to "freedom" involved murdering civilians and carrying on a conflict that had almost zero support with the population.Still, they weren't leftists so they were good,of course.
Bush is becoming more and more mbarrassing with each passing day.Surely the odds on him being regarded as the most laughably incompetent leader of the US ever are shortening with each gaffe.

Interesting point! The CIA is widly known to have been involved in the smuggling and distribution of narcotics from South America during President Ronnies time to fund CIA covert operations.

Who was deputy-head of the CIA at that time? Why George Bush Senior of course! Ironic that his main presidential policies were about combatng drugs, but then again who should know more about those drugs than him?

At least we know where Dubya Bush got his Colunbian marching powder from in collage. The new Ambassaor could have been the bag man.

It's kind of a mixed blessing is this new Bush playschool. On one hand, we have an incompetent everyAmerican leading a country with more nachos than sens and who is backed by a shadowy syndicate of corrupt politicians, Big Business, military and ex-CIA, which all points towards a huge conspiracy of some sort. But that's not news, is it?

The really interesting (and fun) thing to realise is that Bush's incompetence as a (narcissistic) political leader has done nothing other than to dissolve the patina of decades of American concpiracies and general irresponsibility and exploitation. It's not like Bush means to do it, it's just that he's too much of an idiot to be told when to keep his mouth shut!
