    Watch Trailer NOW!!

For those of you that haven't heard about this:

    Plot:

A collection of interweaving stories all based in the corrupt, crime infested hell-hole that is Basin City. Heavily influenced by film-noir, the main storylines concern a hulking brute called Marv (Mickey Rourke), who is seeking the murderer of a beautiful woman who was killed while asleep in bed with him; an ex-photographer called Dwight (Clive Owen) who accidentally kills a hero cop and has to cover it up; and a soon-to-be-retiring policeman called Hartigan (Bruce Willis) who is incarcerated for a crime he didn't commit. All based on the brilliant graphic novels "Sin City", "The Big Fat Kill" and "That Yellow Bastard", written and illustrated by Frank Miller.

    Trivia:

Robert Rodriguez scored 'Kill Bill: Vol. 2' for $1. Quentin Tarantino said he would repay him by directing a segment of this movie for $1.

    My Opinion:

A very promising film.. which looks like it will either end up being one of the best of 2005, or an absolute turd!

Co-directed and wrote by Robert Rodriguez and Sin City writer, Frank Miller. I've a feeling the film will be chopped to bits by the MPAA, given the nature of Frank Miller's novels.

Quite a respectable cast too worth mentioning: Bruce Willis, Benicio Del Toro, Michael Clarke Duncan, Jessica Alba, Elijah Wood, Josh Hartnett, Michael Madsen, Brittany Murphy, Mickey Rourke.

Yeah, a lot of people seem to be saying this.

Ain't played Max Payne so not too sure!

Does anyone want me to upload another 6 minutes of footage they showed at Comicon? It's about 7MB.. can upload it to my webspace. Just say the word and it shall be done.

That trailer is nothing compared to the Comicon one if you can find it (I remember it being more like 50MB and not 7MB though, you probably have a different clip).

It's absolutely brilliant. Really looking forward to this one (and hoping it won't disappoint).

The comic con clip is here:

Frankly, I think it looks embarrassing. I mean, what's the point in making a film look like a comic book? If I want a comic book, I'd read the books themselves. The comic con clip in particular looks really pretentious.

Jessica Alba looks cute in her cowboy outfit though... boing!

What a stupid post... Why bother making movies at all when we can imagine anything in our minds ?

Even if the story was crap Id still enjoy it for the visual effects which look really sweet and unusual.downloading second clip now.

I will repeat my point for people with limited mental abilities.

What is the point in making a film that visually resembles a comic book? If I want to see how a particular scene looks in a comic, I'll look at the comic.

The likes of Batman and Ghost World were cinematic interpretations of comics; with Sin City, Rogriguez seems to be just trying to literally recreate the experience of reading a comic book. If I wanted that, I'd read the friggin' comic book.

The Trailer looks promising, this film could be excellent, the Cast is awesome, Clive Owen and Dwight are Scarily simliar! The Frodo(Kevin)teaser nd the shot of Dwight Putting Benico Del Toro's head down the toilet is really cool, Oh and Jessica Alba and Brittney Murphy look Fine :D:D Could be a real work of Art this one

By the way IMDb have the release Date here as 22 April 2005, Hopefully that won't changw like the way Hellboy's did!!!

You do that. I'll watch this movie, from what I can see in the trailers it should be a CRACKER biggrin.gif Cannot wait for this movie, thankfully Agent Orange wont be blocking my view of the screen with his huge head.

not a mad comic type person but i read all the sin city comics and they are fantastic. I think the trailer looks brilliant, and yes it does try to recreate the strips but thats a good thing here by the looks of it. It just looks so well and a different style than the usual comic book conversions. Only down side so far is Elijah Wood, personally I can't stand him, mmmm well maybe there is one good side to him being who he is in this :S. Hope its it turns out well.

Well Elijah doesn't speak so you don't really have to worry that much. He does look like the guy though.
