Lying cds

This is just a small rant. I bought Fresh fruit for Rotting Vegetables today by the Dead Kennedys. In it, it said the lyrics to disc one where on the enclosed poster. there was no poster. This was in a sealed digipack by the way so someone didn't steal it. So i returned to the place of purchase and brought up my point. So they were nice enough and got another copy for me. Except the poster wasn't in that either.

How can people do this to me? It strikes me as being false advertising.

If they made a manufacturing mistake, it's likely that the whole batch is defective

Maybe this (as the manufacturer calls) "poster" is better known as the "cd cover" to most people.

A poster enclosed in a CD? Either a very small one or folded to bits. I reckon the poster came in a larger package along with the CD box.

their was a booklet but it didn't have the lyrics.

To be honest Matthew, if you came into MY shop and claimed one of my products was faulty, I'd chase you away with a broom. Pesky kids.

some cd's ship with folded posters behind the inlay cards. they're usually with the rubbish that the top of the pops seems to love so much

The text was copied directly from the vinyl version, which did include a poster. Whoever produced/ laid out the CD covers didn't put toomuch thought into it.
The album Frankenchrist also included an "interesting" poster in the vinyl version, but nothing in the CD or tape version, even though the text mentioned it.

Personally I can't see the problem..... Unless yur obsessed with posters.... It's just a poster after all and the lack of one in yur cd hardly affects the music and furthermore as long as yur not paying extra for said poster.... erm.... whats the prob? Or were ya just looking forward to it

relax... it's only a poster!!! unless of course you bought the thing just for the poster, which is kinda sad, i say forget about it and move on with your life

i reckon its just the vinyl artwork shrunk down for cd with the irrelevant poster details still included.
as far as i know there are F8ckin loads of slightly different versions of this album on vinyl anyway & i have a supposedly rare australian version on vinyl somewhere...
its a long time since i listened to or even heard the dk's,youve inspired me to seek out a few cds now !!why not send an email to the label they might shower you with all kinds of free ****!!!
