    True seems a bit pointless, unless you can use it as a online storage dump, e.g ftp account to your email acc. Like gmail drive.

    yeah.. thats what i was thinkin.. the only thing i'd see that fit for, would be like a massive server for a file sharing/ftp programme.

    All of these "mega" email account services are based on the premise that only a tiny portion of the userbase will ever make full use of the storage space.

    We estimate that the amount of mail stored on our servers by the users (around 1500) is touching on 1TB.

    Many people have > 1GB of email in archives and PSTs, so 1TB doesn't sound so incredulous. Give it 5 years. Much like everything else - if you create the space, people will fill it.

    As Seamus says data expands to fill space. Think of all those people who had to delete half their ludicrously small Hotmail or Yahoo inbox every day just so they could continue receiving mail for the next 24 hours. When they move to Gmail they'll be letting it all hang out.
