Watching NTL Digital in Two Rooms

I know this has probably been asked thousands of times but I am having trouble hooking this up for a friend. I know they will only be able to watch the same channel in the other room and this is ok. For some reason, I can't for the life of me figure out how to set it up. I'm usually good at things like this.

Can anyone on here tell me exactly step by step how to hook the ntl digital, tv and video up in one room and for the tv in the other room? Cheers

Posting this in the Cable TV section might be a better start...

Get a special two way splitter for ntl. You split the signal coming from the ntl signal box, one feed goes into the back of the set top box, and the other goes to the second tv. If you want analogue on the VCR, as well as analogue inside (in the second room), then you will need a triple way splitter. If you can tell me what box you have (grey or black) it would help an awful lot. :)

I presume you have the small silver one(or grey)
You should have a split scart lead for this type box.(feeds tv+vcr)
The only way with this box is to put a 2 way split on the rf output of the vcr.
One side feeds the tv as normal the other feeds the extra tv.
Switch your vcr to av\aux to show the digital through the vcr.
Go to the extra tv and tune in the vcr.
    Job done.
    Hope that helps.
    :D:D
i'll give it a try. cheers.

Never heard of that? Had a look on the NTL site and could find no mention of this option. Are you sure? I'd be very interested in an NTL 'Mirror' sub.

As you are Ok with watching the same channel on 2 TVs I would recommend you could get a video sender (I got one from Aldi on a Thursday special a few weeks back for €39.99)
It takes the signal from your NTL box via the scart cable and sends it to a transmitter which in turm send it to a reciever at the second TV. It's simple to install (5min) and allows you to use the remote control with the second TV.
I am using mine with NTL MMDS Digital and it's perfect.
