    Just thought I'd point this out.. as I think its pretty decent.. not sure if it was posted before but here it is anyway:

    I signed up tested it out.. its real, it works, a little awkward the interface is but other wise good... ohh and its free.

    no you dont.. if you already own a domain you can use that, thats what I've done. So you can go and buy one some place nice and cheap and then just map the dns settings to it.. and away you go.

    Is there popups or framed advertising with them? Not too bad an offer with 250MB of space (another 250MB of email space) and a SQL database.

    Anyway, I got a good deal with Siteground.com and a good member of these forums so that'll do me for now :)

    Not to hijack this thread, but something that's always worried me about these free hosting outfits is response times.

    Has any of you had any experience with a freely hosted website?

    Ive been using www.webworld.ie for years.
    They are very cheap and excellent fast support if you are having issues.

    Free superb FTP app. AND saves all settings as an xml file if you want to
    transfer the app to another PC
