How do I get promoted from Ensign?

I've been looking for an answer (no success obviously) and it's wrecking my head.

you get promoted when you hvae over 40 posts I think it is
after 40 (I think) you go up to the same place as me

Hmm, how do you pronounce it, with or without the f?

Without the f, that's how Clint Eastwood pronounced it in "Where Eagles Dare", as apposed to Richard Burton pronouncing it with the f. I thought that was cool.

So do Commanders, the question still remains though. How do I get promoted?

It's just occured to me that it may have something to do with how popular your topics are. i.e. how many people post to that topic.
