    http://www.chessex.com/Dice/poundofdice.htm

    doesnt that just look wonderfull.

I was browsing looking as my dice box has run low. Still have the set that are mine but when you have people over to game regularly the dice often go off an adventure of thier own; into the bin the hoover the back of the sofa or clogging up the washing machine damaging the filter.

what was the first set of dice you bought ?
    where if you can remember?
    ever had a un/lucky dice?
what was the most you have spent on dice ?

First ones I got for RPG were in the D&D blue box. They came with a crayon for inking the numbers and were soooo soft.

My first dice set was for Warhammer 40K back when I was very little :) Since then I've casually collected dice for roleplaying games I play. I've never really spent alot in one go on dice, just a little bit here and there. Although I did spend 6 quid on a matching set of Chessex dice a while back. My luckiest dice vary from campaign to campaign tho :/

My firstest ever dice came a-rittly-rattling out of the box in which my Runequest rules ran home from the shop all excitedly many, many a-year ago. They too had no numbers, being hewn from ugly, primary-coloured plastic in the dice forges of the land of ultimate cheaplyness but soon got inked in by me.

Have had many love/hate relationships with particular dice down the years, have always looked with a mixture of fear and suspicion upon those with fewer than 6 faces and a mixture of glee and disbelief upon those with more than 20.

These days, as sight and patience fail me in my feebleness I dislike tiny dice or those with patterned faces or crystaline material...bah! their figures shift and weave before my eyes as if enchanted...bah!!

Bring me back my primary coloured dice with their solid reliable numbers!!

Ah, the noble d6, proletariat of the random number generating object.

I reckon my first dice were d6's from Warhammer 40,000. I still keep a Sustained Fire die out of respect. Now I have a custom dice bag filled with various dice. I went through a bit of a d4 (hey, I liked D&D daggers...) phase, and own far too many d12's (that is, more than one. MUCH more than one...).

    Dice are pretty...
