Friday 24th December 2004 – Christmas Eve
Normal services will operate on all routes. Last buses will leave the city at 2100 hours and will operate in service back to their respective garages excluding buses from Heuston Station, Dublin Airport and Ferry Port, which will operate later than 2100 hours. A Saturday service will operate on DART feeder routes. Xpresso and Nitelink services wll not operate.
Saturday 25th December 2004 – Christmas Day
NO BUS SERVICES.
Sunday 26th December 2004 – St. Stephen’s Day
A normal Sunday service will operate on all routes. Nitelink services will operate.
Monday 27th December 2004
A Sunday service will operate on all routes. Nitelink services will operate. Xpresso services will not operate.
Tuesday 28th December 2004
Normal services will operate on all routes. Nitelink services will operate. Xpresso services will not operate.
Wednesday 29th December 2004
Normal services will operate on all routes. Nitelink services will operate. Xpresso services will not operate.
Thursday 30th December 2004

Saturday 1st January 2005 – New Year’s Day
A Sunday service will operate on all routes. Nitelink services will not operate.

PARK & RIDE
The Park and Ride service on the Swords Road near Santry will operate a full service
(7 am to 10 pm) from December 20th to January 7th except for the following:
There will be no service on December 25th, 26th, 27th and January 1st and a Sunday service (10 am to 7 pm) will operate on December 29th, 30th, 31st, January 2nd and 3rd.

Christmas and New Year rail service arrangements by Press Office
Iarnród Éireann expects to carry up to 400,000 people on Intercity rail services over the Christmas and New Year period.
Between Thursday 23 December 2004 and Monday 3 January 2005, there will be special timetables operating, and full details of all holiday services are available in free timetable leaflets, now available from all Iarnród Éireann stations and offices.

There will be alterations to the regular timetable up to and including Tuesday 4 January 2005. Extra Intercity services will operate at key times throughout.
On Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve, services on many Intercity routes and Cork commuter routes will terminate early. Customers should check details.
There will be no train services on Iarnród Éireann or Northern Ireland Railways on Christmas Day, 25 December or St. Stephen's Day, 26 December.
DART and Commuter
All DART and Commuter services will operate normally up to and including 21.00hrs approx on Christmas Eve (Saturday service Christmas Eve). Last DARTs on Christmas Eve are 21.05hrs Bray to Connolly, and 20.55hrs Howth to Connolly.
No rail services will operate on Christmas Day and St Stephen’s Day, the 25th and 26th December.
A Sunday service will operate on the DART on 27th December with a Saturday service for Kildare, Drogheda/Dundalk and Maynooth routes, for the first day of the post-Christmas sales.
From 28th December 2004 to 3rd January 2005 inclusive, resumed DART Upgrade works will result in the following arrangements:
DART: No DART services will operate between Pearse and Howth/Malahide. Additional buses will operate on Dublin Bus routes adjacent to the Northside DART: routes 29A - 31 - 31B - 32 - 32A - 32B - 42 - 42A - 42B. Full DART services will operate between Pearse and Bray/Greystones
Drogheda and Maynooth commuter services: A limited timetable (approx. hourly) will operate between Maynooth and Connolly Station and between Drogheda and Connolly, from Tuesday 28th December to Friday 31st December. A Sunday service will operate from Saturday 1st January 2005 to Monday 3rd January, with some alterations.
Rosslare Intercity services will operate normally throughout, but will operate between Pearse and Rosslare, not Connolly.
Sligo InterCity and Belfast Enterprise: Full services will operate on the Sligo/Dublin InterCity and Belfast/Dublin Enterprise service (some alterations to Belfast service on 1st January).
On southside DART services between Pearse and Greystones, a Sunday service will operate on Tuesday 28th December, with a Saturday service on 29th December, 30th December and up to 21.00hrs approx on 31st December 2004. A Sunday service will operate on 1st – 3rd January.
Kildare commuter services will operate normally from Tuesday 28th December up to 21.00hrs approx Friday 31st December, with no service from 1st January to 3rd January 2005.
