Spurs VS Everton, Jan 1st, 2:45pm, RTE TWO

Weird choice of game if you ask me.

Not if you support Spurs or Everton.

Not everyone supports Man Utd, Arsenal, Liverpool or Chelsea.

Everton are having a great season and already have more points that they got all of last season.
Spurs after a dreadful run have put 5 wins back to back.

Can't understand why a match between the 3rd & 7th placed teams in the Premiership should be described as weird.
Tomorrow you Have Liverpool (6th) vs Southampton (19th) on Sky.
Perhaps its weird if you have a fav team and they are not being featured?

Just look at what Sky offered viewers yesterday - Birmingham v Midd'o followed by Liverpool v West Brom.
Not exactly edge of the seat games.
I suspect over thenext few years Mr Murdoch and his coterie of workers at Sky will make all the top Premiership games pay per view with the also rans available on the norma subscription channels. Thus, the top six clubs will get even more money and the rest of the league's teams will suffer.Nice little earner.

Good Irish interest tho'. Kilbane is playing out of his skin with Carsley and Robbie is getting so heavy he can't do cartwheels anymore :p

Originally, RTE were scheduled to broadcast Birmingham/Newcastle live but about two weeks ago they changed it to this one.

By the way, Man Utd/Villa is live on RTE2 on 22 January.

Hey, just letting you know it's on a Saturday and Sky did not choose it as they already chose the first fixture between them yesterday. Less of the smartarsed posts would be nice — especially from someone currently looking for access to the soccer forum.

The selection of matches being shown on TV lately is very poor.
Every Liverpool match seems to be televised no matter who they are playing.

14 Pool games in a row or something like that. Great, isn't it?
