If you separate the green and regular bins (and recycle glass and paper) then surely you shouldn't have the problem of overfilling your regular bin? Have you any idea of the amount of (often dangerous) crap that spills out of overstuffed bins on an average round? Dead animals, shards of glass, syringes, bones...

A "nice person" would have respect for the binmen and the rules.

it was xmas im talking bout

Not sure what the relevance of that is
i knew what was in the bin
You know, but how does he?
i abide by the rules as a responcible parent .
Except the one about overfilling the dustbin?
he has fxxxxn gloves on him
Fat use if really sharp opbjects poke/fall out of the bin.
    are you a bin man?
    Again, what relevance?
you seem to have a problem with what im saying.
Because it's a self-centred whinge in the guise of a complaint/comment on disappearing social niceties.

well if i taught it was too much to empty, i would of not put it out .

It's not really what you think that counts though, is it, it's what the council/refuse company stipulates that matters.
im talking an inch over the top the bin had the lid on it just the flap wasnt level.
if you know what i mean.
You mean the bin was open.
where they handle is just the handle its self.

Until the rubbish falls out onto the street, because the bin is open.

I think the real question is: "Are there really nice people out there"

    I don't know... I just don't know

    (edit: stupid typo!)

If binmen were to take every overflowing bin they would quickly run out of space in their lorry to take the rubbish of the whole community.

and isnt it illegal for council workers to accept gifts or ask for gifts from customers.

The binmen will take all the extra crap this week because this is the last week before the bin charges start!!

They take extra bags for the green bins anyway.

The council would be shooting themselves in the foot otherwise :)
Just has to be clearly labelled.

the relevance of christmas has to do with it is the 70% more waste that will come out of a home (obviously? ).. You should of taken the gloves and thrown it in the the truck yourself to prove him wrong...

No its just ignorant. If i want to give a gift to the binmen (which i did.. ), i will do it myself. I dont need them to remind me that its a few days after christmas by coming to my door singing carrols etc. They do there job and get out, they get christmas bonus neways...
