Thinking about buying elecy drums, i'm wondering do they come with on-board sound where you just plug big headphones into the kit or do you have to have a PA system type deally?

The module, which has the sounds stored will have a headphone socket so you can just plug in headphones and bang away

Hmm... how much would a set cost? I've always been interested in playing a bit of the auld percussion.

basic (crap) sets start off around the 600E mark on Thoman and musicstore. They arent the may west to be honest. Better off putting around 800-1000 away and getting one of the basic Roland or Yamaha Models.
