Having just got an iRiver, I'm now faced with the task of putting my entire cd collection on my computer, so i'm looking at cd rippers and am just wondering which one all of you would want to recommend.

    Thanks,
    Cat

I like CDEx with lame_enc.dll myself.

    Try avoid audocatalyst and audiograbber.

Exact Audio Copy (EAC). It offers secure ripping, which reduces the chance of a reading error to virtually nil. Only problem is, its slower than other rippers once you use Secure ripping.

As for codecs, i'd recommend the Lame MP3 encoder if you want mp3's. That is by far the best quality encoder for MP3 out there.
