phoned a load of taxi places but none will take advance bookings for these days
    the journey usualy costs €20
anyone know from experience what my odds are of getting a taxi and what their likley to charge?

hope santa claus brings you a car....

im not sure you have any chance at all of getting a taxi at that hour on xmas morning,
id say there not taking bookings because chances are 90% of the scheduled drivers arent gonna show up
if you cant organise a lift of some sort you should speak to your job about it.
afaik they have to make arrangements of transport is not avaialble.

plenty of jobs i was in had free buses home if you worked past midnight and collected you if you were in early on bank holidays.

being in that early on xmas is really rough so im sure theyll sort something for you.
    best of luck :)

normally, companies cannto force you to work on bank holidays, or at least they have to make arrangements for you to get to work and back.
ask your boss about arrangements and tell him that you are having a hard time arranging transport for the day

go out now, flag down a taxi, tell him youll give him X amt for the job off the meter.

offer him a decent amount and charge it to the boss?

Book into the Citywest Hotel! :D or nearby guesthouse.

Or pay a friend X* amount to drop you out.

    * Where X > value of waking up with the kids on Christmas morning :(
