What would you be doing? How would your life have been different? (if at all).

Personally, I think I'd have a real life.

I'd have gone out with numerous fluzeys, eventually spent my evenings and weekends getting pissed, snorting coke and would have eventually died at the age of 17 in a dark alleyway with a used condom hanging out of my arse.

My entire life has been changed because of boards. Where I live, where I worked and friends I have made and lost have all been dictated by this damned website.

In fairness I've had my hand in small amounts of change to boards itself, so I think we're even.

Honestly though, I'm not sure if I'd have bothered sticking around on the Internet at all myself either after I lost interest in counter-strike.
And boards.ie spawned a general interest in forums that I would have entirely missed out on; as it stands most of the major influences in my life are as a direct result of having becoming a part of the boards.ie community.

And playing CS and joining boards were presented to me together; a friend told me; "Install this, this and this, this program will connect you to the #fortress.ie chatroom, and join up boards.ie then go to the counter-strike board".

I would probably have moved back to Monaghan last January tbh. My work contract had expired and I was living alone in Dublin where I could barely afford rent as I was living by myself. The only reason I stayed in Dublin was that I had met quite a lot of people whose company I enjoyed through boards and wanted to stay to have a bit more craic with them.

I would probably still spend loads of time online. Also my liver might have also remained in one piece... well, a little less wrecked that it is now anyway.

I'd be better educated, more productive and in better physical condition methinks. This place soaks up a minimum of 2 hours per day of my life on average and I used to do more, learn more and train more before I made the commitment to it. Mind you, it seems to have done some good for others so that's ok.
