And, incidentally, I'm dyslexic. Not only does it make coding a complete bitch, it makes spellchecking a nightmare.

    LOL..
I was just about to suggest, that if people are going to be giving themselves readings (which is not really possible as you are too emotionally connected to yourself to be able to read objectivly) do a few, until you get the one you want ;)

btw, in the celtic cross spread the bottom card on the cross section isn't working.

I know another user at a different site called akari, the same one?

I apologise. It is a good looking site but spelling errors always jump off the page at me. I wasn't aware of your dyslexia.

Have done three readings so far,and they get closer to the bone each time.Never done this before so don't really know what to make of it.I'm not trying to see what i want to see,i'm just trying to make sense out of the cards that are before me (if that makes sense) and they do.

I did it about 15 times and I could relate to each one, which makes it devoid.
    :D

    I completely disagree with you.
Your use of the tarot is not the only use of the tarot.
Firstly, the entire system was invented by 14th century aristocrats.
Secondly, many people use it as a psychological tool only.
Thirdly, on a metapysical level, I couldn't disagree with you more

your program is lovely, very well designed, I was using firefox btw.
    I completely disagree with you.
Your use of the tarot is not the only use of the tarot.
pick up a mirror and re-read that statement.

It is not reccommended that people read the cards for themselves because it is difficult to be objective about situations. In deciphering minor arcana for example "the knight of staffs" which usually represents aspects of ourselves, can also denote key people in our lives, an objective reader could cast more light on the situation by taking the structure of the layout into account.
If we want to take the representations as characteristics of our subconscious than by all means there is nothing invalid about taking as many different readings or interpretations as we like, as psychological tools we can use them to "create" direction, rather than have one created for us.

when providing such a tool, a little guidance never goes astray
Remember that in life, we have free will. If something comes up in a reading that you don't like, you have the power to change it. Tarot readings are extremely helpful, in that they can alert us to potential problems and obstacles, but they cannot dictate how our lives will go. They can only show us how things will be if circumstances continue on their present path, if nothing is done to change the course of events. WE are in charge of our own destinies. WE have the power to change. Doing Tarot readings frequently is helpful, because we can keep getting insight and guidance about the most current course of events in our lives. As situations change, so do the readings.

The bug in the celtic cross, and any of the other readings it happened in, has been resolved.
