So okay, the boards are censored because of the perceived threat of litigation. What about the perceived threat of somebody sueing for the right to free speech?

Its not fair Monty keeps sniping stuff outta my topic starters. Ok the first time he snipped stuff out i went a little overboard but i apologised and yet he still holds it against me. frown.gif
Go to "Drunken talk, a fine art?" to see what i mean. He snipped out this, "And my 10 year old brother never drank as much again".

    ITS ONLY A JOKE!!!

    That was the whole joke!

I think it's more things that they find offensive. They have all sorts of warnings that they won't be held responsible for what we post, though I don't know how that would hold up in court.

    Respect my authoritai!

Monty seems to be a little 'sensitive' to what goes in the After Hours board. Having said that, the temptation to edit out that '10 year old' bit from your post for a laff was quite strong Kento smile.gif

Lucutus ,the moderater of the music board once edited out a whole message of mine (giving some lame excuse about page formatting) because my post made fun of him and his liking of madonna (how can he be moderater for the music forum with taste like that?).I wasn't even that mean.

The only way I can see to use that evil-smiley in a post is to use regular image tags...

replace the angle brackets with square ones... but i think you knew that somehow smile.gif
