Bloody ryanair - baggage handlers strike

    I've booked a flight from Girona in early January, and with little over a weeks notice, Ryanair have just informed me that I can't bring anything other than handluggage home!
    :mad: :mad: :mad:

    How the hell can I go on holidays and come back with one small 10k bag? If I arrive at the airport with check-in luggage, I'm going to have to 'make alternate arrangements at my own cost'. When I phoned them to complain, they just quoted their 'terms and conditions'.

    I'm so annoyed. Has anyone had this problem before? I guess I'll just have to deal with it, yeah? :mad:

    Not Ryanair's fault as such. Usually for airports such as Girona Ryanair hire out an agency to do check in, baggage etc... In this case it's the employees of this agency that are on strike not Ryanair staff.

    The ryanair website just mentions girona. Let's hope it doesn't seeing as i'm about to embark on a 2 stage Ryanair experience!

    Affected me before going to Gatwick when i had the unfortunate experience of flying with this pathetic airline..sorry to hear about this......

    did the check-in staff pay any more attention to your hand luggage as a result? Generally they don't weigh it, but I'm afraid that they're going to be more vigilant.....
    I'm hoping to smuggle a bit more than 10 k through :p
