PSX-to-USB Game Adapter Problem

I bought a PSX-to-USB Game Adapter with Vibration Driver and i have a problem.

I bought two of these adapters because i taught the problem was with the first adapter. What happens is the left analogue stick keeps going to the bottom right every few minutes? Sowhen i'm running up the field in ProEvo4 i suddenly turn around and run opposite way? It happens with both of my PS2 pads so dont think it is a problem with them and the work grand with the PS2 console.

Just got the latest drivers and that aint help.

Anyone have any idea why this is happening?

One thing that the problem could be is that you need to configure the analogue sticks from the configuration program with the drivers. i.e. set the center, top left, bottom right etc.

You can usually access this in the control panel>game controllers. If that's not the problem, perhaps it needs to be configured in Pro Ev. Sorry for not being more help.

Only problems I had with joypads were with Win98.
Once I moved to WinXP they all vanished :)

Go into your pro evo start menu group.

there's a configuration thing there for the ps2 pad.. go to player 1 and reset all the buttons to what they should be..

thats how i did it, i'm on xp too

C thats not the problem, when i go to the settings screen it is like my left analogue stick keeps going to bottom right. It happens with both of my PS2 pads. I think it might be just that the pads are broken. Am going to get a loan of my mates later to c if his works...

    The answer is obvious!

First go to your control panel and go to gaming options.
Next open it and select the usb adapter.
Then calabrate the joypad very carefully.

This way either problem solved or you have being gaming to hard on your psx/ps2 if just get the adapter replaces.

good site to get these PSX-to-USB adapters is

It could have something to do with the deadzone.

On an analogue joystick you can set a deadzone which is usually given as a percentage. This is a small area around the centre in which nothing happens. When you move the joystick outside the deadzone, it responds. The reason for this is that theres no way the joystick will centre perfectly when you leave it go. I know when using an xbox pad on a PC you can set the deadzone manually.

Sounds like your stick is wandering outside the deadzone when it shouldn't. If you can increase the deadzone it should fix the problem.
