    Hi,

I'm trying to do this quiz where you get given a proverb in a totally different guise and have to figure out what it is. For example, "the tears proved futile after Don dropped his pint" is "there's no use crying over spilt milk".

So could anyone out there tell me what "For a second time, the puncture wound inhibited Paolo from asking Claire to dance"? I'm baffled!!!!

    Thanks :)
