People can be very confident within themselfs but don't express. If you are confident its good everyone should have confidence in themselfs or they will get no where its just those who show the confidence SO MUCH that it makes you think they really aren't confident but want to be seen as confident. Firstly, I am short, fat and opinioned (think human bowling-ball ). I do not think my weight has too much to do with how my personality turned out. (I work in computers for Gawd's sake!)
Re: Beauty, I think this is a changable commodity, partly flesh partly imagintation, a function of the society we live in.
I don't think it is a reflection of our selves, for that watch the quality of deeds.

Unfair Mike. I see what you're getting at, but "confidence" is not what you mean, I think. "Arrogance" possibly; "Pride" definitely.

Personally, I'm overweight at the moment by about a stone or so. I'm not proud of it; I'm trying to lose it. I certainly don't take the "This is just who I am and I'm proud of it!" approach. I'm overweight because I drank too much, ate too much and didn't get enough exercise. There's no nicer way of putting it.

I really can't stand it when people get all self-righteous about their weight. If you're happy with your weight, then so be it; I know some people who are pretty overweight but genuinely don't care; thats up to them. However, those who insist on going on about how their weight is "beautiful" or whatever... er, nope. Sorry.

well im happy to say that I am in very good health, and very trim at the mo', and although i have been through those times, when the stomach does go, and you find the speed in your muscles disipate, I have finally gotten meself back on track,

but its that very pride that gets you there Rob, not pride in how you look, but how you COULD look, and believe me, mental well being and happiness is in proportion to physical well being, take it from me i have experienced both sides of the story,

I have my good days and bad days but i always reason it out to 'eye of the beholder' stuff especially when you see the wide variety of matches around the place.
The more swimming and stuff i do the more healthy i feel and the better i feel in myself.
And last but not least, with the great friend im lucky enough to have its hard not to feel good.
