Just curious as to how much it costs to get a new spray or paint job done on a car? Does the original colour have to be sanded down, then it coated with a white undercoat and then sprayed? Would it cost more to have a gradiant from say dark to light blue or similar?
    Thanks.

Yes because there would be more work involved.

A full paint job of just a single color is going to cost you around a grand, depending on who is doing it for you.

As for getting a gradient done, they have to put on a number of coats of different colors to get that effect costing even more.

Your best bet is too get a few quotes for what you have in mind from some professionals.

Spoke to my mate that owns a spray shop and he reckons that it would cost about €1300. But that's dependent on a few things, i.e. type of car, type of paint, condition of bodywork, would you want the inside trims of the car done?
