    Cast from the city of San Fran,
    out in the midst of the bay,
    we planned our great escape
    from this steel & concrete prison
    to go on to better things.

    We made all our preparations,
    we made all our farewells,
    we were almost free until we realised ;
    there was no escape !
    No-where to run, but a swim
    in a black river leading to a real prison ;
    with iron fisted wardons,
    & this prison was in our heads.....
